SamePage leverages the Wiki concept to bundle in a number of optional collaborative-applications within the project like Discussion Forums, News, Issue Tracking etc. While they internally work like Wiki Pages , they provide different interfaces and additional features specific to that application. Further, all the rich features like WYSIWYG editing, tagging, versioning, attachments, search etc are also available for content created using these applications. These applications can be optionally enabled by individual Project Owners within their Projects if they feel the need for the same.
  • ForumsA Project can optionally have a Forum section where members can initiate new Discussion Threads or add their comments to existing Threads. The Forum landing page of the Project itself shows a complete list of Threads sortable by Author, Created date, Number of Replies etc. Forums would especially add value in Projects which involve a lot of discussion and collaboration.
  • NewsProject Owners can optionally create a News section in their Project if they envisage a lot of periodic News updates that would need to be sent out to members. The News landing page of the Project itself shows a chronological list of the News updates.
  • Issue TrackingThe optional Issue Tracking section allows Project owners/admins to create, assign and keep track of Project Issues. Issues have additional fields like Severity, Status and can be assigned to specific members. The Issues landing page of the Project itself shows a list of Issues that can be searched or sorted by different fields like Title, Status, Severity, Assigned To etc.
  • RSS & NotificationsSamePage also sends out email notifications for Forums, News or Issues that the user can choose to opt out of. These email notifications are sent out at the time of creation or when new comments are added. Users can also choose to receive RSS updates instead of Email notifications.
  • Comment via EmailThe Comment via Email feature gets leveraged in the Forum and Issue tracking application as members can reply back to discussion threads or issues via email which will automatically get added to the respective thread or issue as a new comment.
