SamePage comes integrated with its own search engine so every piece of content in the repository is searchable. The integrated search is comprehensive and secure ensuring the most relevant content is easily accessible while respecting all the access privileges of the user.
- Full-text SearchEvery piece of content within SamePage can be searched instantly through the simple search box on the header. This includes not only Wiki Pages, Threads, Tickets, News, Comments but also attachments including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, XML, HTML etc.
- Context Aware SearchThe search is always aware of the user context. It returns the results for the current Project or All projects based on where the search is being invoked from.
- Secure SearchThe integrated search takes into account Project and Page access privileges before displaying the content. Search Results do not include the Projects where the user does not have access.
- Advanced SearchApart from the simple search box, the user can also invoke the Advanced Search option which allows to control the Criteria, Scope and Filters in order to conduct more specific searches.
- Search SuggestAlso referred to as "Did you mean", the Search Suggest feature intelligently provides a couple of close alternative search terms when the user-entered search term does not return any results.
- Asynchronous IndexingThe content gets indexed asynchronously as soon as it is created. Administrators can also re-index the content for a project or the entire instance through the administration screens.
- Advanced IntegrationThe search implementation in SamePage also provides the hooks to easily replace the bundled search engine with any existing enterprise search engine. Customers can also choose to use the search web-services to include SamePage search results in a Federated Search across multiple repositories.
