SamePage Features
Online Collaboration Online Collaboration
Easy contribution of wiki content via the WYSIWYG editor is just the beginning. What really adds the power of collaboration to SamePage are all the features like user comments, forums and page-rating which make it easy for others to participate and foster a sense of community.
  • Collaborative EditingOne of the key features of SamePage is collaborative editing where the same page can be edited by different users, thereby ensuring "a single version of truth." Related features like Page locking and Versions ensure that collaborative editing can be practically used within the enterprise.
  • Page CommentsAll wiki pages have a Discussion tab where readers with the appropriate permissions can add their comments. These comments are shown as separate threads with the latest comments on the top. These comments can have their own attachments and they can be moderated by the Page owners or Project administrators. These comments can also be accessed via Search.
  • Email a PageWiki Pages can also be explicitly emailed to other Project members prompting them to reply or comment thereby sparking off a collaboration cycle.
  • Comment via EmailSamePage also provides the option for tighter email integration, so comments can be directly added via email. Users can thus continue to use traditional emails while simultaneously ensuring that their comments get archived in the wiki.
  • Discussion ForumsApart from Page Comments, Projects can also have a separate Discussion Forum where distinct discussion threads can be maintained.
  • Page-RatingThe Page Rating feature allows users to rate all wiki pages, threads etc on a simple scale of 1 to 5 thereby giving instant feedback. On the top of the page, it shows the average rating for that page as well as the rating given by the reader. The top-rated pages can be seen in the Analytics section.
  • Watch-lists & DigestsTo ensure participation by all users, SamePage sends out daily digest emails to all users with a concise list of all changes in that particular day. Users can also choose to keep track of a particular page or thread by adding it to their Watch-list.
